Bandai Spirits today officially announced the first product in the new "COMPLETE STYLE GIGANTIC" toy series for Kamen Rider, the "Kamen Rider Kuuga Titan Sword," scheduled for release in December 2022.
"COMPLETE STYLE GIGANTIC" is a new series derived from the high-end Kamen Rider belt toy series "COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION." Its theme is to three-dimensionally recreate large weapons from the Kamen Rider series with designs closely matching their in-show appearances, allowing adults to enjoy the fun of imitating Kamen Riders. This series addresses the shortcomings of previous CSM releases, which couldn't produce weapons without belt linkage mechanisms or those with significant size differences before and after transformation/combination.
The first release, the "Titan Sword," is the main weapon used by Kamen Rider Kuuga's Titan Form. The toy uses acrylic parts to create the transparent gems on the sword, features intricately sculpted hilt details, and employs pad printing to reproduce the ancient Linto script engravings. All parts are meticulously painted for an excellent texture, and the hilt contains alloy parts, providing a substantial weight when handled. The blade also features an expansion mechanism, reaching a length of 90cm when extended, which is slightly smaller than the 110cm stated in the original design.
The product also includes interchangeable parts for the Rising Form, allowing the sword to reach a total length of 113 cm when attached. Furthermore, the "CSG Titan Sword" is equipped with a rich sound playback mechanism. Pressing the button on the hilt activates various sound effects, including the attack sounds of the Titan Sword/Rising Titan Sword, sword clashing sounds, and the finisher "Calamity Titan Sword" which pierces enemies. This allows for a more dynamic play experience when swung in rhythm. When not in use, it can be displayed using the included cracked concrete-style display stand!
