BANDAICANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., recently announced the second product in its new series, "SHODO-XX," an evolution from the popular action candy toy "SHODO." The "SHODO-XX Kamen Rider 2" is scheduled for release in October 2022.
"SHODO-XX (DOUBLE CROSS)" significantly enhances both sculpting and articulation compared to previous series. It utilizes numerous new parts to refine the designs of each Kamen Rider and features redesigned movable joints to expand the range of motion, aiming to faithfully recreate the cool suits and iconic actions from the show. However, due to a significant increase in raw material and other costs, the suggested retail price for each item is set at 690 JPY + tax, an increase of 100 JPY compared to the current SHODO series.
The second wave of products will feature 7 types of Kamen Rider action figures: Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker, Kamen Rider W HeatMetal, Kamen Rider W LunaTrigger, Kamen Rider Accel from "Kamen Rider W"; Kamen Rider ZERO-TWO from "Kamen Rider ZERO-ONE"; and BLACK RX's transformed forms, Robo Rider and Bio Rider, from "Kamen Rider BLACK RX."
Additionally, there will be an expansion parts set containing various weapon accessories that can be used with the Riders in this wave. These include Kamen Rider W CycloneJoker's scarf, Kamen Rider W HeatMetal's Metal Shaft, Kamen Rider W LunaTrigger's Trigger Magnum, Kamen Rider Accel's Engine Blade, Robo Rider's Vortex Shooter, and Bio Rider's Bio Blade, among other equipment.
