KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese toy company, is releasing the latest product in its "ARTFX J" series, which creates exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters. The new item, "ARTFX J Toge Inumaki" 1/8 scale figure, is based on the popular anime series "Jujutsu Kaisen"! The suggested retail price is 14,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in January 2023.
Toge Inumaki, a highly popular character in "Jujutsu Kaisen," is a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, a Semi-Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer, and one of the rare Cursed Speech users in the series. Due to the effects of Cursed Speech, he cannot speak normally and usually uses onigiri ingredients as his dialogue, including: salmon, tuna, mentaiko, etc. He also covers his mouth with a high collar, a mysterious characteristic that has attracted many fans.
Author Gege Akutami once publicly explained Inumaki-senpai's vocabulary: "Salmon means affirmation, and Bonito Flakes means negation! Other than that, I'm not too sure either."
The "ARTFX J Toge Inumaki" 1/8 scale figure, with a total height of approximately 165mm, faithfully recreates Inumaki-senpai's appearance from the anime. This includes his upturned phoenix eyes, the high collar covering his mouth, the wrinkles and shadow paintwork of his Jujutsu High uniform, as well as his smooth hair texture and the veins on his hands, all meticulously rendered! The figure adopts a pose where his body is slightly crouched forward, and his hand is pulling the zipper of his collar, poised and ready to use Cursed Speech; with interchangeable high collar and right arm parts, you can recreate Inumaki with his zipper open, revealing his full face!
