The incredibly creative Japanese capsule toy brand Panda's Hole (パンダの穴) will release its latest product, "A Windy Day" (tentative translation, 風のつよい日), in June 2022!
We believe every toy enthusiast has more or less experienced this: despite the harsh weather outside with strong winds and heavy rain, you still have to go out to run errands. Even though you tightly grip your umbrella, you're still drenched by rain coming from all directions, and sometimes you even encounter a mischievous gust of wind that completely blows your umbrella inside out! However, this time, "A Windy Day," planned and designed by "Natsuki Morita," takes the feeling of disarray to another level. Although featuring a girl in a white dress as the protagonist, it shows no mercy: not only is her umbrella broken, but various objects also fly onto her face. The overall effect evokes the faceless mystery of "Shell Girl," but is even more vivid and carries a hint of mischievous humor.
This "A Windy Day" series includes 5 variations. The objects flying onto the girl's face include a plastic bag (ビニール), an egg (タマゴ), soft-serve ice cream (ソフトクリーム), a frog (カエル), and a crow (カラス). It can be said that this series adorably and exaggeratedly portrays the struggles of going out in strong winds and heavy rain – it's incredibly fun!
