Chinese sculpting brand "Mana Workshop," in collaboration with Sum-Art, its Japanese branch working with multiple Japanese artists, is scheduled to release the "Cthulhu Seated Statue / Evil God Statue" (クトゥルフ座像・邪神像) designed by Japanese sculptor "Keisuke Yoneyama" in January 2023!

Keisuke Yoneyama excels at showcasing the terrifying beauty of alien creatures in his works. He expresses what should be truly horrifying bodily structures with a unique sculpting style, skillfully capturing the balance between distortion and elegance. Famous Japanese tokusatsu monsters and the evil god Cthulhu, for example, reveal novel appearances under his interpretation. This "Cthulhu Seated Statue" is a piece he had previously completed sculpting. This version is not only the origin of Keisuke Yoneyama's Cthulhu design but also a masterpiece highly praised by acclaimed director "Guillermo del Toro." Sum-Art has crafted this limited Cthulhu seated statue using bronze as the material.

This piece stands approximately 12 cm tall (including the base), which is considerably smaller than it might appear in images. It features massive wings, dense, octopus-tentacle-like whiskers, and emaciated limbs. The eyes are not rendered with a reddish appearance but are presented as hollow sockets, and coupled with its curled-up, seated posture, it further exudes an "as if something eerie is about to happen," almost suffocating atmosphere. The base is also intricately carved with numerous cracks and crumbling details, making it truly appear like an ancient evil god statue that has endured the test of time and existed since antiquity.
