Japanese toy manufacturer MEDICOM TOY's popular MAFEX action figure series has announced two Spider-Man themed products from MARVEL comics: "Spider-Man Classic Costume Ver." and "Scarlet Spider." This article will provide product information for the "Scarlet Spider Comic Ver."!
In the original comic, the most prominent version of "Scarlet Spider" is the character originally named "Ben Reilly," who first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #118. He is a clone created by "Miles Warren" using Peter Parker's genes. Although he initially fought Spider-Man as a villain, after surviving an explosion and realizing he wasn't the real Peter Parker, he began a nomadic life as Ben Reilly.
This figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall, recreating the combination of a full red bodysuit and a blue sleeveless vest. The spider logo on the left chest is faithfully reproduced, and the fabric-sewn vest can easily display both hooded and unhooded styles. In addition to the silver web-shooters on the wrists, the belt and ankle equipment are painted brown to give a leather-like texture. There are three head sculpts, allowing for different comic artist styles and situations. Paired with multiple interchangeable hands and web effect parts, dynamic and agile poses can be achieved.
