Hong Kong's renowned collectible figure brand threezero's robot action figure series "ROBO-DOU" is scheduled to release the protagonist "Tekkaman Blade" (テッカマンブレード) from Tatsunoko Production's classic robot anime series 《Tekkaman Blade》 in the fourth quarter of 2022, with a suggested retail price of US$149.
《Tekkaman Blade》 (宇宙の騎士テッカマンブレード, also known as "Space Knight Blade") was produced by Japan's Tatsunoko Production (タツノコプロ) and first aired on TV Tokyo in 1992. The story describes how the protagonist, Takaya Aiba (相羽タカヤ, nicknamed D-BOY), and his family were captured by the alien force "Radam" while traveling on a spaceship and transformed into Tekkamen. The protagonist, saved by his father, fortunately retained his original consciousness and became an incomplete Tekkaman. Meanwhile, his family members, brainwashed and transformed into Tekkamen, became his enemies. The story unfolds as he faces a series of battles with his relatives and the entanglement of cruel reality.
This Tekkaman Blade action figure from ROBO-DOU stands approximately 20 cm (7.8 inches) tall and features 74 points of articulation throughout its body. Coupled with a die-cast metal frame, it offers excellent stability in posing, allowing for a variety of dynamic stances. Furthermore, LED light-up features are embedded in the forehead, eyes, and the launch ports on both shoulders, enhancing its realism.
Regarding accessories, the weapons include Tekkaman's standard weapon, the "Tekk Lancer" (テックランサー), a double-bladed spear that can split into two, and the "Tekk Shield" (テックシールド), a small shield mounted on the left arm and back. Additionally, a wire is included, which can be bent and connected to the shield. Other accessories include the transformation crystal, side fins for both armpits, interchangeable back connector parts, and five sets of interchangeable hand parts. The content is quite rich.
