Japanese figure manufacturers MEDICOS and Kotobukiya recently announced the latest product from the popular manga "The Demon Girl Next Door": "Momo Chiyoda School Uniform Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure" and "Shadow Mistress Yuko School Uniform Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure", both scheduled for release in May 2023.
Following the magical girl transformation version released in 2019, MEDICOS and Kotobukiya are once again releasing the adorable magical girl Momo Chiyoda, coinciding with the broadcast of the anime's second season. Based on an illustration by original author Izumo Ito, displaying both products together allows you to recreate the incredibly sweet scene of Shamiko and Momo sharing an umbrella and strolling in the rain, now in three dimensions!
The "Momo Chiyoda School Uniform Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure" faithfully recreates Izumo Ito-sensei's art style, sculpting Momo in her Sakuragaoka High School uniform. Her floating pose, hair ends, and uniform hem all feature a gently dynamic sculpt. Everyday items like a plastic bag and an ice pop are also reproduced, with the ice pop being interchangeable between being placed in the plastic bag or held in her hand. The base not only includes the same hydrangea stand as Shamiko's, but also features a three-dimensional rendition of Momo's retired magical girl navigator cat, "Metako"!
