The 1/6 scale articulated figure series 'FigZero', launched by Hong Kong toy brand threezero, recently announced its latest limited-edition product, the "FigZero 1/6 ULTRAMAN SUIT TIGA Stealth Version," limited to 500 units worldwide. It is scheduled to go on sale starting August 6, 2022, at the GOODSMILE Online Shop and during the two-day 'Smile Fest 2022' event.
The ULTRAMAN SUIT TIGA appears in the mobile game 'ULTRAMAN: BE ULTRA'. It is a new type of combat suit materialized after the mysterious youth Daigo unleashes the power of the Tiga Crystal and merges with the concept of the Ultraman Suit. Its prototype originates from 'Ultraman Tiga,' the first work in the Heisei Ultraman series broadcast in 1996. It also possesses the special move "Zeperion Ray" and the ability to transform into three forms.
This limited edition is based on the previously released standard version. It boasts a large size with a total height of approximately 31.6 cm, and with over 47 points of articulation throughout its body, it can be posed in a wide variety of dynamic combat stances. The exterior armor is finished with multiple metallic paint applications, conveying a sense of substantiality, and some parts are even made of die-cast metal, adding to its impressive weight when handled. Both eyes, the Tiga Crystal on the forehead, and the Color Timer on the chest are equipped with internal LED lights. It also comes with various original armaments, including the "Sparklence Long Sword," "GUTS HYPER Kai," "GUTS HYPER Kai Long Barrel," and "GUTS Submachine Gun." Furthermore, combining the various gun parts allows them to merge into the large firearm "SLAM DUNK"!
The biggest feature of this limited edition is its overall paint scheme, which has been changed to a stealthy silver + glossy black color. Both eyes and the chest are also replaced with clear red parts, giving it a fiercer appearance compared to the original version. This color scheme not only resembles the low-observability technology used in real-world weaponry but also pays homage to Tiga's jet-black form as a "Giant of Darkness" 30 million years ago, as seen in the movie 'Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey'.
