From Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series『POP UP PARADE』, the latest product "Bernadetta von Varley" from the popular video game 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses' was recently announced, with an expected release in November 2022.
This time, the popular character Bernadetta, who attends the Black Eagles house at the Officers Academy in the game, has been sculpted. She hails from the noble House Varley of the Adrestian Empire. Her personality is quite shy, unsociable, and she suffers from paranoia. Aside from class time, she almost always stays in her room, engaging in hobbies like handicrafts and painting, which she enjoys. This often evokes a protective desire in her teachers, who wish to help her grow step by step.
The "POP UP PARADE Bernadetta von Varley" stands approximately 16 cm tall. It sculpts her messy hair, anxious expression, and insecure posture with her hands clasped in front of her. The figure captures Bernadetta's petite and adorable physique, along with her uniform featuring a distinctive hood, with metallic paint applied to the golden parts of the uniform. This product appears to be the only character figure of Bernadetta currently available. Although POP UP PARADE prices have significantly increased this year, for fans of Bernadetta, 4,800 JPY is still a reasonable price.
Furthermore, the 'POP UP PARADE' series is also expected to successively announce several new 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses' products this summer, with product information for the Blue Lions house's "Dimitri" and "Felix" to be revealed in mid-July, followed by "Claude" and "Lysithea" from the Golden Deer house in mid-August.
