GOOD SMILE COMPANY's "POP UP PARADE" series, known for its affordable prices and quick releases, will launch the "POP UP PARADE Takemichi Hanagaki" PVC painted finished figure based on the popular anime "Tokyo Revengers." The suggested retail price is 4,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2022!
The passionate manga "Tokyo Revengers" (東京卍リベンジャーズ) by Japanese manga artist Ken Wakui began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2017 and was adapted into a popular anime in 2021! The protagonist, Takemichi Hanagaki (Takemitchy), is a part-timer who has achieved nothing. After learning that his first love, Hinata Tachibana, died due to being caught in a conflict involving the Kanto's most notorious gang, "Tokyo Manji Gang (Toman)," he himself travels back 12 years to his middle school days after an accident. To save his girlfriend and change his cowardly self, Takemichi befriends the gang's president, Manjiro Sano, and vice-president, Ken Ryuguji, embarking on a story of revenge.
The "POP UP PARADE Takemichi Hanagaki" PVC painted finished figure stands approximately 17.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Takemitchy's determined and resolute expression after becoming the First Division Captain, dressed in Toman's special attack uniform. The delicate gold-painted characters for "First Generation Tokyo Manji Gang," "First Division Captain," and "Tenjo Tenge Yuiga Dokuson" (I alone am the honored one in heaven and on earth) are meticulously rendered, with his left hand placed on his chest! Unlike his usual pompadour, this figure features his hair down, showcasing an aura of absolute refusal to back down.
