B´full FOTS JAPAN, a brand under Japan's B'full company that produces various character figures, is scheduled to release in December 2022 a PVC figure of the childhood version of the heroine "Raphtalia" (ラフタリア) from the renowned novel and anime series "The Rising of the Shield Hero"!
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" (盾の勇者の成り上がり) is a fantasy novel serialized online by Japanese novelist Aneko Yusagi. It was later adapted into a manga, officially animated in 2019, and its second season began airing in April 2022. The story follows protagonist Naofumi Iwatani, a university student, who is sucked into another world after accidentally flipping through a book. There, he becomes the "Shield Hero," with an unremovable shield on his arm as his only weapon.
Raphtalia, a demi-human, is Naofumi Iwatani's first companion. Her original hometown was destroyed after the "First Wave," and she consequently became a slave. After meeting Iwatani, she became his companion with his help. Initially, her appearance and state were like that of a 10-year-old child. As her level increased, her appearance also changed, transforming into that of an 18-year-old beautiful girl. She is Iwatani's most trusted and important confidante. With considerable combat prowess, she serves as the main attacker, acting as Iwatani's sword.
This PVC figure of Raphtalia, released by B´full FOTS JAPAN, is crafted at a 1/7 scale, with a total height of approximately 11 cm. It depicts Raphtalia in her appearance after her level decreased, reverting to a childlike form. Her expression is as cute and innocent as a pure child. Her attire, originally worn in her adult state, appears somewhat loose on her. Raphtalia's hair and tail also exhibit a remarkable sense of softness. Even the slave crest on her chest is perfectly recreated.
