Following the release of numerous exciting products based on the popular anime "Dragon Ball Z," the popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts" from BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is now presenting a substantial, luxurious new release featuring light and sound effects: the "S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Porunga & Dende Luminous Dragon Ball Set - Appear, True Shenron!! -" (tentative title). It will retail for 28,600 JPY and is scheduled for release in December 2022.
The Namekians refer to their Dragon as "Porunga (ポルンガ)," which means "God of Dreams" in Namekian. In addition to having a different appearance from Earth's Shenron, Porunga can grant three wishes and only takes one-third of the time to restore himself after granting wishes compared to Earth's Shenron. However, both summoning and making wishes require speaking in the Namekian language.
The "S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Porunga & Dende Luminous Dragon Ball Set - Appear, True Shenron!! -" includes the impressive Porunga Dragon, standing approximately 280 mm tall, and Dende, who can utter the summoning incantation to the Dragon. It comes with interchangeable hand gestures and head parts to enjoy interactive play. Furthermore, it features an NFC (Near Field Communication)-equipped Dragon Ball base and Dende. Placing the seven Dragon Balls on the base will make them light up, and the set also includes various dialogue sound effects from Porunga and Dende, perfectly recreating Porunga's summoning scene from the series!
