Japan's BANDAI Co., Ltd. (株式会社バンダイ) GASHAPON division, which transforms gashapon into plaster material, will release the highly anticipated second series of "Excavate!! Dinosaur Fossils from GASHAPON" with "Excavate!! Dinosaur Fossils from GASHAPON 2" plaster gashapon. This series features six fossil types, with each gashapon priced at 300 JPY (MSRP), and is scheduled for release in late July 2022.
There are already many products on the market that embed dinosaur bone models in plaster, allowing players to chip away and experience the joy of archaeology. BANDAI takes this classic concept and gives it a fresh twist by transforming gashapon into plaster! The "Excavate!! Dinosaur Fossils from GASHAPON 2" plaster gashapon contains simple assembly models of ancient creature specimens and dinosaur skeletons. Players can excavate a 10 cm tall "Brachiosaurus" from the gashapon, along with popular "Tyrannosaurus Rex" and "Triceratops" dinosaur bone parts. Additionally, there are ancient creatures such as the Cambrian period's marine giant "Anomalocaris," "Trilobite," and the Mesozoic era's most representative marine mollusk, "Ammonite." This is perfect for little toy enthusiasts to enjoy the fun of excavation and assembly at home during the summer holidays!
