Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's premium super alloy robot toy series "Super Metal Action" is scheduled to release a Limited Color Edition of the original version of Tetsujin 28-go, created by Mitsuteru Yokoyama-sensei, in September 2022!

The late manga artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama-sensei launched his work "Tetsujin 28-go" in 1956. At that time, Tetsujin's design was more rounded. Later, Tokyo Movie in Japan adapted it again in 1980, re-releasing it under the name "Taiyo no Shisha Tetsujin 28-go" (Tetsujin 28-go: Messenger of the Sun), changing the design to a more slender, humanoid form and slightly modifying the colors. It was also screened in Taiwan in 1987 under the name "Iron Superman". Both the early version and the later Messenger of the Sun version are cherished childhood cartoon memories for many who grew up in the 70s and 80s.
EVOLUTION TOY had previously released the original version of Tetsujin 28-go in its high-end "Super Metal Action" series. This time, they are releasing a limited edition with metallic colors. It stands at an impressive 32 cm tall and weighs a substantial 1.32 kg. A total of 27 parts throughout the body are made of alloy, and with the metallic color scheme, the overall appearance exudes an even greater presence, like a true steel giant.
The internal structure is fully reproduced. For accessories, it includes a mini figure of the operator Shotaro and the remote control for Tetsujin. Tetsujin's eyes can be swapped with different parts to achieve various effects, and they can also light up by installing LR44 batteries. Combined with a variety of articulated poses, friends who appreciate Tetsujin 28-go in a different color scheme should definitely consider this release.
