Thunderwolf Cavalry
Never officially recorded within the Imperium, the Thunderwolf Cavalry is a highly classified sub-branch of the Space Wolves' Wolf Guard. Thunderwolves are colossal Fenrisian wolves that inhabit the northernmost peaks of Fenris. Solitary, massive, and brutally lethal, Thunderwolves are undoubtedly the apex predators of this frigid land, leading many Fenrisians to worship them as totems.
Only the most formidable Fenrisian warriors can venture alone into the Mountains of the Maelstrom to hunt Thunderwolves, taming them amidst the relentless blizzards of that extreme environment. It is through such an initiation ritual that one can become a legendary Thunderwolf Cavalryman. The Thunderwolves that become mounts for these legendary warriors undergo enhancements, including bionically modified Adamantium jaws using Imperial technology, bionic eyes, hydraulically strengthened metallic limbs, and razor-sharp claws, among others.
JOYTOY's 1/18 scale Thunderwolf Cavalry is crafted using the new body sculpt released last month. The wolf totems and runic designs on the Thunderwolf Cavalry's master-crafted power armor are fully reproduced, and it comes with a chainsword, plasma pistol, and shield as accessories, though it's a pity the Frost Axe is missing. The Thunderwolf is an entirely new unit, with its fur texture, fierce expression, and modified metallic prosthetics all faithfully recreated. It also features articulated joints, allowing for various ferocious poses. Notably, the Thunderwolf's saddle is equipped with handles, enabling the figure to be securely fixed to the Thunderwolf's back. This marks the first time a product in the JOYTOY 1/18 Warhammer 40,000 series differs from the original tabletop miniature.
