Japanese model brand Doyusha is launching its brand-new "Deformed" model kit series, with the first wave focusing on dinosaurs. The lineup includes four popular model kits: the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Mosasaurus, and Baryonyx. Each kit will retail for 2,178 JPY and is slated for release in September 2022!
The "Deformed Plastic Model" (デフォルメプラモデル) series features palm-sized kits, each approximately 10 cm tall. Designed for easy assembly, these kits require no tools or adhesive, and the parts come pre-colored, making them perfect for beginners and children. The initial four dinosaur model kits – Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Mosasaurus, and Baryonyx – allow collectors to display them in two distinct forms: as a fossilized skeleton using the bone parts, or as a vibrant, living dinosaur with the skin parts. Their adorable, chibi-style designs are also incredibly appealing.
