Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is set to release the first product in its popular and best-selling "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series based on the super popular video game "Elden Ring": "S.H.Figuarts Vyke, Knight of the Frenzied Flame". It will have a suggested retail price of 7,700 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2023.
The Souls-like action RPG "Elden Ring," developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, was co-created by game producer Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R.R. Martin. The game is set in the Lands Between, where the once-whole Elden Ring was shattered, and its fragments, the Great Runes, scattered across the land. Numerous demigods, possessing the larger fragments known as "Great Runes," succumbed to madness due to the Ring's power, triggering the Shattering. As Tarnished, players aim to restore the Elden Ring by collecting the Great Runes and passing the trials of the gods to become the Elden Lord.

The "S.H.Figuarts Vyke, Knight of the Frenzied Flame" figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, with some parts made of soft material, allowing for both highly detailed sculpting and an extensive range of articulation. The figure faithfully reproduces the intricate and delicate patterns of Vyke's armor and features a heavy, metallic paint application, realistically depicting the armor's weathered and corroded appearance! It also includes interchangeable hand parts, which, when combined with Vyke's War Spear and the Frenzied Flame effect parts (details yet to be revealed), allow for the recreation of in-game battle scenes!
