BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division today announced the latest product in its popular action figure series, "S.H.Figuarts": the "Ultraman Decker Flash Type," scheduled for release in November 2022.
Ultraman Decker continues the style of last year's Ultraman Trigger, inheriting elements from the classic 25-year-old work "Ultraman Dyna," while also incorporating numerous new designs and different story developments to create a new generation of "Dyna." The story is set seven years after the previous work, "Trigger." The helpful protagonist, Kanata Asumi, bravely confronts the "Sphere" during its attack on Earth with his bare body but is swallowed. He unexpectedly merges with Ultraman Decker, gaining the ability to transform into a giant of light, and subsequently resolves to join GUTS-SELECT to protect Earth.
The "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Decker Flash Type" is produced in cooperation with Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, faithfully recreating the in-show appearance in a 15 cm tall action figure. The sculpt meticulously captures the silhouette that pays homage to Dyna, along with innovative asymmetrical elements. The starry sky patterns on the forehead and chest are reproduced through digital coloring technology, and the shoulder armor above the left shoulder joint is made of soft material to reduce articulation interference.
The elbow and knee sections feature precise part segmentation, maintaining both sculptural integrity and flexible articulation. The shoulder joints adopt a pull-out structure, allowing for dynamic posing. With 4 types of interchangeable hand parts for both left and right, and red and blue color timers for the chest, fans can recreate cool transformation and battle scenes from the show, as well as the pose for unleashing the special move "Selgen Beam."
