Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS' collector toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, will release a new product in its popular and best-selling articulated figure series "S.H.Figuarts": "S.H.Figuarts hide -ROCKET DIVE-". The suggested retail price is 9,900 JPY (tax included), and it is scheduled for release in January 2023.
hide, the guitarist of Japan's legendary band X JAPAN and a legendary musician, whose real name was Hideto Matsumoto, was active between 1987 and 1998, setting many unparalleled records in the Japanese music scene. hide was the first to introduce exaggerated makeup and flamboyant attire to Asia, and coined the term "Visual Kei," becoming a pioneer of the visual kei movement. With the band's disbandment, hide passed away the following year, and this trend gradually faded, marking what was considered the end of an era. When X JAPAN reformed in 2007, the band still reserved his member position in his memory.
The "S.H.Figuarts hide -ROCKET DIVE-" articulated figure stands approximately 145 mm tall. It utilizes digital printing technology that thoroughly researches facial features to faithfully recreate hide's makeup, pink hair, and distinctive hoodie outfit from his live performances of the classic song "ROCKET DIVE." It also includes interchangeable bangs with yellow-tinted sunglasses for alternate styling. The set comes with 3 types of interchangeable left and right hand parts, along with accessories such as a guitar, guitar strap, microphone, and microphone stand, allowing fans to enjoy hide's cool performance poses!
