Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) toy company's pre-painted figure brand "ARTFX", after releasing "Wrecker", "Hunter", and "Tech" based on the animated series "Star Wars: The Bad Batch", recently announced the debut of a new product: "Crosshair" (クロスヘア)! It is scheduled for release in January 2023.
The story of "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" revolves around "Clone Force 99", a squad composed of five clone troopers. The first episode takes place around the time of "Order 66", a turbulent period when the Republic fell and the Empire rose. These five so-called "defective" clones are targeted by Imperial officer "Tarkin"; meanwhile, the young girl "Omega", who has spent her entire life on Kamino, seems to harbor undiscovered secrets......
The "ARTFX Crosshair" stands at 27 cm tall and is sculpted in his initial appearance, when he was still part of Clone Force 99. It faithfully recreates his weathered gray and red uniform, from his distinctive helmet with the crosshairs symbol, the shoulder armor he spray-painted with "99" and a skull motif, his backpack, and his holster belt, all the way to his long-barreled sniper rifle. The bodysuit beneath the armor is meticulously sculpted with wrinkles caused by movement. His pose, holding his rifle with both hands and slightly lowering his center of gravity, conveys a sense of readiness. In addition to the adjustable scope on his helmet, an unhelmeted head sculpt is included for added versatility. The base continues the hexagonal shape and style of previous releases.
