Toy manufacturer JOYTOY's popular Warhammer 40,000 1/18 scale series, following the release of the first 'Ork' race product, 'Ork Kommandos' in June, today announced the new product 'Nob on Smasha Squig,' the second Ork release. Warhammer fans interested in this new product can contact via email: [email protected].
Nob
Nobs, also known as Ork Bosses, are larger Ork Boyz, but smaller than and subservient to Ork Warbosses. Due to their larger size and strength compared to other Orks, Nobs enjoy a certain degree of authority within their tribes or clans. To rise through the ranks among Orks requires a combination of 'cunning brutality' and 'brutal cunning,' crushing the skulls of anyone who dares to challenge their authority. Nobs frequently clash with enemy leaders and strive to prove their capabilities to the Ork Warboss, often setting bloody examples to deter others, earning them both fear and respect from the Ork Boyz.
Smasha Squig
Smasha Squigs, also translated as Smasha Squigs, are a type of Orkoid life form commonly found in Ork society. Squigs, fully known as Squiggly Beasts, have existed in a naturally symbiotic relationship within Ork tribes since ancient times. Currently, there are over 12 different types of Squigs, which Orks classify based on their characteristics. Some varieties are used as food or leather sources, while others are kept as pets; larger ones can even become battlefield mounts. Most Squigs subsist on various refuse produced by Orkoid creatures, and some Orks specifically breed larger, more belligerent, and otherwise useful Squigs.
“Squighog Boyz”
Squighog Boyz ride large Squigs commonly known as “Squighogs” by the Orks. They are a tough, determined, and heavily armed fast cavalry unit. Due to their flexible high mobility, they are responsible for hunting large prey and outflanking attacks, and are also very effective against enemy light vehicles. Because of these tactical characteristics, Squighog Boyz are equipped with boosters, and even spears with rocket launchers attached to the front. Due to their extremely dangerous and ferocious charges, Squighog Boyz and their Smasha Squigs are often heavily wounded. Therefore, Squighog Boyz undergo a series of crude modifications to maintain their combat effectiveness, with examples even including Smasha Squigs having their internal organs replaced with engines or exhaust pipes.
The Nob on Smasha Squig is derived from the popular Ork unit “Squighog Boyz,” and among them, the Nob riding a Smasha Squig is a particular favorite among green-skinned fans. This product faithfully captures and recreates the intimidating appearance and formidable weaponry of the Ork boss, with the Smasha Squig being a major highlight. The JOYTOY development team meticulously detailed the Smasha Squig's design, ensuring both articulation and balance, allowing the Smasha Squig to bear the Nob and maintain dynamic poses. Its impressive look already has us eagerly anticipating the arrival of other “Squighog Boyz”!
