BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan, known for its most diverse lineup of 1/144 scale Gunpla, the 'HG (High Grade)' series, today announced product information for its latest item from 'Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury', the "HG 1/144 Dilanza (Guel's Custom)", scheduled for release in October 2022.
The Dilanza (Guel's Custom) is the exclusive mobile suit of Guel Jeturk, the young master of Jeturk Corporation, one of the group's three major powers. It features a distinctive red paint scheme and a head antenna adorned with feathers, showcasing his noble status as the top figure of the dueling committee and former holder of the champion's title. This mobile suit is a modification of the standard Dilanza, capable of high-speed ground gliding thanks to its hover propulsion system. Its primary weapon is a massive Beam Broadaxe.
The "HG 1/144 Dilanza (Guel's Custom)" utilizes multi-color molded parts to faithfully recreate its heavy armor and the distinctive feather ornament on its head, though the overall color tone is slightly darker than the magenta seen in the anime. Despite its unique short-limbed design, the articulation mechanisms are surprisingly rich and and flexible, with multi-stage movable joints designed in the neck, chest, shoulders, and waist. Even the shoulder shields can rotate in multiple directions, allowing for dynamic action poses. For weaponry, it includes a massive Beam Broadaxe, a Beam Torch, and a Beam Rifle. All weapons except the broadaxe can be stored within the shoulder armor.
