BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan, known for its diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series, today announced the latest products from 'Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury': "HG 1/144 Demi-Trainer" and "HG 1/144 Demi-Trainer Dedicated Expansion Parts Set". Both are scheduled for release in December 2022.
The "HG 1/144 Demi-Trainer" faithfully recreates the widely used trainer mobile suit from Asticassia School of Technology through multi-color molded parts. Its sleek, angular design incorporates flexible articulation, with pull-out shoulder joints and forearm rotation mechanisms significantly enhancing arm mobility. The neck and waist articulation allow the upper body to tilt significantly forward and backward. Its armaments include a training stick, shield, and machine gun, and the head antenna can be displayed in its deployed state by swapping parts.
Meanwhile, the "HG 1/144 Demi-Trainer Dedicated Expansion Parts Set" includes a rich array of armaments such as a beam rifle, Gatling gun, ammo belt, combat knife, circular saw, drill, missile launcher, a pair of open hands (left and right), and a set of connector parts. In addition to equipping the Demi-Trainer in predetermined configurations, these parts can also be freely assembled and customized using their standardized pegs, allowing for the creation of various creative weapons.
