Today, SQUARE ENIX Japan announced two new products from the popular RPG《FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE》: the 「STATIC ARTS Cloud Strife - Dress Ver.」 and the 「PLAY ARTS改 Cloud Strife - Dress Ver.」, scheduled for release in February and March 2022, respectively.
Cloud's memorable cross-dressing appearance originates from the classic "Honeybee Inn" storyline, where Cloud, while infiltrating Don Corneo's mansion to rescue Tifa, was unexpectedly transformed into a beautiful figure during a lavish stage performance. Compared to the blocky character model from the original game, the remake more delicately portrays his muscular physique squeezed into a European-style corset and long skirt. The cuteness was so overwhelming that even Cloud himself was momentarily speechless!
The 「STATIC ARTS Cloud Strife - Dress Ver.」 is produced as a non-articulated complete figure, recreating Cloud's polite and poised posture after donning his dress. It meticulously sculpts the rich details of the gorgeous outfit, including wrinkles, patterns, bows, corset lacing, and lace. The vibrant colors are reproduced through paintwork, along with the mesh sleeves on his muscular arms. His golden hair is crafted using clear parts to express its luster and light texture.

The 「PLAY ARTS改 Cloud Strife - Dress Ver.」 is produced as an articulated action figure. Its detailed sculpting largely adopts the same design as the STATIC ARTS version, with the difference being that the head sculpt follows the design of the standard version and is not as soft as the STATIC ARTS version. The neck, limbs, and the two braided pigtails tied with bows all feature articulated joints. It also includes four pairs of interchangeable hands, allowing for poses such as hands placed on the abdomen, hands on hips, or gently touching his hair.
