In the early days of Captain Tsubasa, protagonist Tsubasa Ozora moved to Nankatsu City as a new resident. After first witnessing Genzo Wakabayashi's incredible goalkeeping skills, he was very excited and wanted to challenge him. The person who told Tsubasa where Wakabayashi lived at that time was "Ryo Ishizaki" (石崎りょう), known for his round head. From then on, he followed the Nankatsu team through thick and thin. Despite not having exceptional football talent, he possessed a remarkably strong fighting spirit and resilience. His special move, the "Face Block," also saved the team from crisis multiple times. Later, he joined the J.League's Jubilo Iwata team to play football.
Taro Misaki is Tsubasa Ozora's best friend. When they played together on the same team, they were known as the Golden Duo, and their perfectly coordinated combined shots and dribbling skills were incredibly strong. He is also an important member of the Japan national team. He once suffered a severe right leg fracture due to a car accident but later worked hard on treatment and made it to the World Youth Championship final. After diligent rehabilitation and becoming even stronger than before, he also joined the J.League's Jubilo Iwata team. His special move is the Boomerang Shot.
The soft vinyl figures of Taro Misaki and Ryo Ishizaki produced by HKDS TOY are modeled after their Nankatsu Elementary School uniform versions, with "Nankatsu" written on the left chest and their jersey numbers on the back. Both products are approximately 25 cm tall, and their expressions are very lively. Friends who like "Captain Tsubasa" should definitely consider collecting them.
