Japan's Aniplex (Aniplex Inc.) recently announced an ANIPLEX+ exclusive product: a 1/7 scale PVC painted finished figure of "Marin Kitagawa" from the TV anime "My Dress-Up Darling." Priced at 18,000 JPY, the figure is slated for release in September 2023.
"My Dress-Up Darling" (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru), a cosplay-themed manga by Japanese artist Shinichi Fukuda (also known as "Bisque Doll"), tells the story of high school student Wakana Gojo. Influenced by his Hina doll craftsman grandfather, Gojo is obsessed with making Hina dolls and possesses skilled tailoring and makeup techniques. By chance, his classmate, the popular gyaru beauty Marin Kitagawa, discovers his talent for making doll clothes. She then asks him to design cosplay outfits for her and join her at cosplay events, thus beginning their romantic journey.
The ANIPLEX+ "Marin Kitagawa" 1/7 scale PVC painted finished figure stands approximately 21 cm tall, bringing the energetic Marin to life in her school uniform. The figure faithfully recreates her distinctive gradient long hair, along with her gyaru-style painted nails, earrings, and bracelet. Her loose uniform subtly reveals her collarbones, while her forward-leaning pose makes the short skirt even more eye-catching.
