UNBOX INDUSTRIES "Uzumaki" Kirie Goshima, Azami Kurotani 18cm Soft Vinyl Busts Appear at WF 2022!

After Hong Kong soft vinyl toy manufacturer Unbox Industries created the "Strange Box" and "Strange Box Color" blind box figures based on the works of Japanese horror manga artist "Junji Ito," this time they have produced soft vinyl toys of "Kirie Goshima" and "Azami Kurotani" based on the manga masterpiece "Uzumaki," and showcased prototypes at the recently held "Wonder Festival 2022 [Summer]," Japan's largest model exhibition.

"Uzumaki," serialized from 1998 to 1999 in Shogakukan's manga magazine "Big Comic Spirits" and collected into 3 volumes, stars high school student "Kirie Goshima" and "Shuichi Saito." The story begins with strange phenomena they encounter, and their hometown, "Kurozu-cho," seems to be cursed by "spirals." Various supernatural phenomena, human mutations, and natural disasters related to spirals occur one after another, becoming increasingly out of control.

For these 18cm soft vinyl busts, Unbox Industries once again enlisted Japanese special effects sculptor "Manrin" to sculpt the prototypes. They perfectly recreate "Azami Kurotani," whose right forehead is consumed by a spiral, and "Kirie" from the curly hair chapter. Azami Kurotani's sunken forehead deeply carves out internal structures and unsettling textures; the bloodshot eyes, shiny black short hair, and eerie gaze are all exquisitely detailed. Kirie's self-aware, coiling long hair is meticulously sculpted, and her gaze, as if watching something, conveys an unsettling aura. We eagerly await the official announcement!
