Amuro's mobile suit is back again. This time, it's not the Re-GZ, but the Re-GZ Custom. It combines features of the Zeta with the appearance of the Re-GZ, and overall, it's quite good. During play, there are aspects that are excellent, and others that are more average. Below is the full review report.

1. Standard Articulation
The Re-GZ Custom's articulation doesn't offer many surprises; it's at a standard level, which is acceptable for a transforming mobile suit.
First, let's look at the head; rotating it around is, of course, no problem!
The arm articulation is quite good.
The waist has no articulation joint; it's only in the chest.
The legs are restricted by the skirt armor, limiting their outward movement. The knee joints are decent.
2. Excellent Appearance!
The backpack is impressive, with two prominent large sword hilts. Coupled with its unique color scheme, it offers a distinct play experience.
The shield can be attached to the elbow, but its range of motion is limited, making it prone to bumping into the backpack during play. This is indeed a bit bothersome.
3. Unique Weapons
The Re-GZ Custom's weapons are quite interesting. First up is the AK47-style "Beam Assault Rifle," though unfortunately, the magazine is not detachable. Posing with the rifle creates a very imposing presence. The mobile suit can achieve a two-handed rifle-holding pose.
As for the backpack, another beam rifle can be detached from it. This one is longer and has a unique holding method, inserting from below and requiring connection to an elbow port for stability. It features multiple colors and is quite beautiful.
Regarding the two beam sabers, both have thick hilts, similar to the ZZ's equipment. However, the beam effect itself isn't long or thick enough, which is a bit of a shame, as it lacks a certain imposing presence.
Behind the shield are three grenades, but unfortunately, they are not detachable, which is a bit disappointing.
4. Simple Transformation, Quick Completion
Compared to the Zeta's transformation, the Re-GZ Custom's is child's play. Simply laying the mobile suit flat and bending its knees is enough, making it relatively straightforward. The product includes numerous auxiliary ports to help players check if the toy's transformation is complete, which is a thoughtful touch!
Drawbacks
For some reason, this leg was disobedient; the joint wasn't very secure. The worst part was when the entire left leg fell off during play. I was stunned at the time, but fortunately, I was able to repair it. What luck! Using only a single metal rod to connect this crucial point feels a bit flimsy.
When posing, the shield too easily causes interference, and too much interference makes players worry about paint scratching. This is the worst-case scenario. Holding it in hand is simply too inconvenient, so I quickly put the shield down to play without it, to avoid any accidents.
Finally, of course, I posed it in all the classic Amuro mobile suit stances.
Overall, there aren't many toy products of this particular mobile suit, so for interested collectors, it's definitely worth acquiring!
