Japanese toy brand WAVE is set to release a 1/35 scale assembly model of the "Snapping Turtle" (スナッピング・タートル) ST version, the custom machine of Epsilon, a Perfect Soldier like the heroine Fyana, from the classic robot anime "Armored Trooper VOTOMS" (装甲騎兵ボトムズ). It is scheduled for release in late October 2022.
"Armored Trooper VOTOMS" (装甲騎兵ボトムズ) is a robot anime produced by Sunrise and directed by Ryosuke Takahashi in 1983. The story follows the protagonist, Chirico Cuvie, a soldier who has forgotten his past but possesses exceptional talent for piloting "AT" robots. Under relentless enemy fire, Chirico constantly faces life and death situations. What sustains him in battle is his desire to uncover the truth and the image of the "Phantom Lady" that always appears in his mind. The anime's intense robot combat scenes are a highlight of the series.

The "Snapping Turtle" ST version (スナッピング・タートル, named after the animal "alligator snapping turtle") released by WAVE this time is the exclusive machine piloted by "Epsilon" (イプシロン), a Perfect Soldier (PS) in the original work. It is often referred to as the "Blue AT" (ブルーAT). Developed and modified based on the standard Snapping Turtle AT, it is equipped with two 11mm machine guns and a handheld rocket launcher.
