Aniplex Inc. (株式会社アニプレックス) of Japan, under its new "ConoFig" figure series, which focuses on affordable, small-sized figures, will release the new "ConoFig Daki and Gyutaro" non-scale pre-painted complete figure, based on the popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc." The suggested retail price is 13,000 JPY, and pre-orders are currently open on the ANIPLEX+ official website, with an estimated shipping date of March 2023.
The popular sibling duo appearing in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc," Daki and Gyutaro, were born in the pleasure district and endured a tragic past. Their mother died young from syphilis, and the siblings relied on each other from childhood. Ume (Daki) became a courtesan thanks to her exceptional beauty, while Gyutaro became a bodyguard and debt collector. In an incident, they were burned to near death by a customer and the madam. To save his sister, Gyutaro sought help from a demon, accepting Muzan's blood, and the siblings together became Upper Rank Six.
The "ConoFig Daki and Gyutaro" non-scale pre-painted complete figure embodies the ConoFig series' concept of "just right." Standing approximately 20 cm tall, this figure showcases exquisite details and uncompromising high quality within its hand-sized dimensions, bringing to life the luxurious pose of Daki sitting on Gyutaro's shoulder! Gyutaro's eerie light gray complexion, abnormally twisted, emaciated body, and protruding spinal bones are faithfully recreated. The demonized Daki boldly reveals her cracked white skin, while details such as her headpiece, facial floral makeup, the endlessly bothersome obi sash, and hair gradients are also wonderfully expressed.
