To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's classic sci-fi film "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" in 2022, American toy manufacturer NECA not only announced the re-release of the super-sized "E.T." but also launched five 7-inch action figure play sets featuring "E.T." all at once! Shipping is expected to begin in October 2022.
"E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" tells the story of a kind alien, E.T., stranded on Earth, who befriends a boy named Elliot. It is hailed as "the greatest sci-fi film of all time." E.T.'s glowing long finger is his signature feature, and the classic line from the film, "E.T. PHONE HOME," became incredibly popular at the time. This lineup of action figures allows collectors to recreate numerous scenes from the film, including the iconic flying sequence, the disguised E.T., E.T. in blue pajamas, and accessories like the "temporary communication device" built to contact his home planet... all are fantastic! It makes you want to rewatch the movie again!
