Hong Kong toy company Storm Collectibles, known for releasing numerous action figures of fighting game characters, is set to release another action figure product featuring the protagonist of the classic 2D fighting game 'Guilty Gear', 'Sol Badguy'! It is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2023.
Fans of 2D fighting games are undoubtedly familiar with 'Guilty Gear', developed by Arc System Works. Since its first release on the original PlayStation console, the series has garnered significant player support with its unique style, exaggerated combat feel, fluid combos, and anime-quality graphics. Over the past two decades, numerous titles have been released, with the latest being 'Guilty Gear -Strive-', launched in June 2021.
Sol Badguy can be considered the protagonist among protagonists in the 'Guilty Gear' series. Hailing from the United States, he possesses a wild and unrestrained personality with few words, and his fighting style is equally rugged, often featuring powerful hit-and-run techniques. This Sol figure from STORM COLLECTIBLES is based on his latest design from 'Guilty Gear -Strive-'. This version of Sol's appearance is largely similar to previous iterations, with a slightly more robust lower body. The belt with the word 'FREE' written on it is one of his new distinguishing features. The figure includes three interchangeable face plates, five additional sets of interchangeable hand parts, Sol's signature weapon 'Fuuenken' (currently improved into 'Outrage Mk-II'), and flame effect parts.
