A three-way collaboration between DAMTOYS, Japanese sci-fi military godfather "Kow Yokoyama," and Coal Dog Studio designer "Parkzhi," following the release of the "GansBoy - President," which blended sci-fi aesthetics with nostalgic everyday life, recently unveiled their latest product commemorating the 40th anniversary of 《Ma.K》: the "Jumping Snowman" (ジャンプスノーマン) 6-inch articulated figure! Scheduled for release in Q1 2023.
This "Jumping Snowman" features a very charming character concept: in an abandoned city, the Snowman continuously wanders with cats, searching for unopened cans. It utilizes an approximately 18 cm tall "Iron Heart" mechanical body, which not only presents a futuristic wasteland style but also fully showcases the charm of Kow Yokoyama's mechanical designs and Parkzhi's ingenious design characteristics. Although the mechanical parts are primarily gray and white, many colorful components are added, perfectly complementing its somewhat comical appearance! In addition to the 《Ma.K》 40th-anniversary commemorative LOGO visible on the side of its head, the top can be opened to reveal and interact with the internal cockpit details, which is quite interesting.
Accessories include a rocket backpack made of composite materials, a road sign, a pink skateboard, and two cats (random colors) that align with the work's setting. It also comes with collectible stickers and cards. The "Snowman" figure itself boasts a wealth of interesting designs, and coupled with the playability of placing cats inside its head, this toy is incredibly appealing!!
