Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is set to release a figure of the popular character from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba", the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, "Sanemi Shinazugawa", in December 2022!
The super popular manga series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" (鬼滅の刃), which began serialization in 2016, concluded in 2020, but its merchandise continues to be highly popular. Its second anime season, "Entertainment District Arc," premiered in December 2021 and finished airing in February of this year. News has also recently been announced that the third anime season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," is currently in production.
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Hashira, one of the nine "Pillars" of the Demon Slayer Corps, and utilizes Wind Breathing. He is one of the Demon Slayer Corps' powerful combatants. His younger brother, Genya Shinazugawa, also known as the "Demon Eater," is also a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. Initially defiant towards Oyakata-sama, he later came to understand his magnanimity and deeply respected him. He usually appears cold-hearted and short-tempered, deeply caring for his brother but poor at expressing it, always masking his feelings with anger. In the Infinity Castle battle, he and his brother confronted Upper Rank One, Kokushibo. The two finally resolved their differences, and Genya ultimately perished in his tear-streaked brother's arms. After the battle, Sanemi also let down his guard and apologized to Nezuko for his past disrespectful actions. He and Giyu are the only two Hashira who survived.
This POP UP PARADE Sanemi Shinazugawa figure stands approximately 17 cm tall, faithfully recreating his fierce appearance from the original work. The scars on his face, chest, and arms are all meticulously rendered. His Nichirin Blade is sheathed at his left hip, and the kanji "殺" (Satsu/Kill) on his back further conveys his powerful fighting spirit. His left hand is raised in a gesture that seems to be provoking an enemy, exuding an overwhelming aura.
