In conjunction with the upcoming August release of 's 'RG 1/144 God Gundam', Japan's official Mobile Suit Gundam Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, recently announced that the latest event-exclusive product from 'Mobile Fighter G Gundam', the '1/144 Devil Gundam [Clear Color]', will be released starting August 13, 2022.
The JDG-00X Devil Gundam was originally developed by Dr. Kasshu, the father of protagonist Domon. It is the ultimate Gundam, composed of DG Cells and embodying the three core theories of 'self-evolution', 'self-regeneration', and 'self-multiplication'. Its initial purpose was 'environmental regeneration' for Earth, but during its descent, an excessive impact caused its programming to mutate into 'eliminating threats to Earth', identifying humanity as these threats. This mobile suit not only possesses powerful regenerative abilities but can also produce a large number of 'Death Army' mobile suits, eventually even merging with a colony to become a nearly invincible final form.
The '1/144 Devil Gundam [Clear Color]' is based on the general release kit from 1995, with all parts molded in clear colors. As this product dates back 27 years, its part separation and articulation design are relatively simpler compared to modern kits. However, its massive size still captures the imposing presence of the Devil Gundam, and by swapping parts, it can transform into its Mobile Armor form, featuring a giant Gundam head as its lower body.
