Bandai's GASHAPON division, known for its highly popular gashapon series "Waiting Animals", is following up the mysterious "Waiting UMA" with the highly anticipated second installment, "Waiting UMA 2"! There are six types in total, with a reference price of 300 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in August 2022.
The original "Waiting Animals" series, which focused on cute animals, used anthropomorphic poses where animals would tuck their feet in and rest their hands on their knees, as if patiently waiting, creating a look that was both adorable and a little melancholic.
This sequel, "Waiting UMA 2", features even more mysterious Unidentified Mysterious Animals (U.M.A.)! The collection includes six types: the Japanese urban legends Rod & Little Old Man, the Loch Ness Monster, the red-eyed harbinger of disaster Mothman, the legendary Japanese Kappa Mummy, and the jackalope Jackalope (White / Brown). With sizes ranging from approximately 5 to 8 cm, these Q-version figures capture the fantastical forms of these U.M.A.s. Do they convey the complex feeling of U.M.A.s wanting to hide, yet also wishing to be found? Toy enthusiasts, come and discover them!
