After a long absence, summer is finally regaining some of its former vibrancy, sweeping away the gloom of the previous Level 3 alert and this year's unpredictable pandemic! The Pokémon Company's "Flying Pikachu Project" will collaborate with Taipei City to launch a series of events, allowing Taiwan's vast Pokémon fans to once again pack their bags, join their partners, and embark on a city adventure into the world of Pokémon!
Gear Up and Head to Taipei City, GO!
First, The Pokémon Company and Niantic, Inc., in collaboration with the Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism, will jointly launch the "Pikachu Weekend in Taipei" event in Taipei City from October 21st to October 23rd. Kicking off the festivities will be "Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei"!
During the "Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei" event, Trainers will be able to enjoy special event content throughout Taipei City; for an even more immersive experience, tickets can be purchased to the main venue, Daan Forest Park, to access additional rich game content and catch Pokémon such as Pachirisu. If you're lucky enough, you might even encounter a Shiny Finneon!
Furthermore, to celebrate this event, a Pikachu wearing a green T-shirt (Berry) is expected to appear in Pokemon GO starting mid-October this year. This Berry T-shirt Pikachu, which will only appear within Taipei City, is expected to be in the game for over a year, so Trainers visiting Taipei should definitely keep an eye out for it!
In Taipei, there will be Pokemon GO activities during the day and Pokémon night activities in the evening, allowing Trainers to immerse themselves in the world of Pokémon all day long. Through this collaboration with the Taipei City Government, we hope to invite more Pokémon Trainers to visit Taipei and explore this city that boasts a rich history and culture, cutting-edge technology, and endless culinary delights.
