In conjunction with the upcoming August release of the "RG 1/144 God Gundam," BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s HOBBY Division in Japan officially announced today the latest product in the Gunpla "RG (Real Grade)" series, the "RG 1/144 God Gundam Expansion Parts Set," scheduled for release in September 2022. This product will only be sold on BANDAI's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The "RG 1/144 God Gundam," set to be released in August, not only continues the series' characteristic high-density details and precisely segmented exterior armor design but also challenges the largest range of articulation in RG series history. It introduces various newly designed joint structures to recreate the human-like agile movements seen in the show, allowing for the display of various martial arts poses that combine both power and beauty.
To enable this kit to recreate more cool battle poses from the show, the "RG 1/144 God Gundam Expansion Parts Set" released this time will include various effect parts such as Bakunetsu God Finger, Sekiha Tenkyoken, and high-speed consecutive attacks. It also comes with support parts like a display stand specifically for the back halo, an effect display base, and a clear molded articulated stand. Furthermore, it includes "HGFC Fuunsaiki," the dedicated mount given to Domon by Master Asia in the latter half of the story.
With this expansion parts set, the halo on the back of the RG 1/144 God Gundam can be separated from the main body and displayed independently, allowing for even more flexible movements without restriction. It can also recreate the flame effects surrounding the Bakunetsu God Finger, and four sets of striking effects for "Fierce! Consecutive Attack" and "Powerful Strike!" The powerful Sekiha Tenkyoken can even recreate the scorching energy projectile, compressed from the chest and revealing the King of Hearts emblem!
The "HGFC Fuunsaiki" is the same as the previously generally released "HGFC 1/144 Master Gundam & Fuunsaiki" version, produced with red and white molded parts and using pink metallic wire to represent the beam reins, recreating highly dynamic riding scenes with its articulated limbs.
