American collectible brand Numskull Designs, under its "TUBBZ" toy series which transforms major movie, anime, and video game characters into rubber ducks, recently announced its latest Horror TUBBZ product from "The Nun": "The Nun"! Scheduled for release in October 2022, with a limited quantity of 3000 units.
"The Nun" first appeared in the latter part of "The Conjuring 2" as the terrifying, nun-like demon "Valak"! The story of "The Nun" is set in 1952. To investigate the suicide of a nun at the Cârța Monastery and determine if the area was pure, Father "Burke" and Sister Irene, a novitiate who had seen many visions since childhood, were dispatched by the Vatican to the location. They were led to the monastery by "Frenchie," originally named Maurice, who discovered the nun's body. As the ancient secrets of the monastery were unveiled, a series of terrifying and bizarre phenomena ensued...
Among the TUBBZ series that interprets various characters, this "The Nun Rubber Duck" is undoubtedly a truly terrifying presence. The face highly recreates Valak's horrifying aura, with pale skin, yellow eyes, and darkened areas around the eyes and lips. Even with a cute duck bill, this piece's eerie atmosphere is not diminished in the slightest. Coupled with the cross that replicates its in-movie appearance, placing it in a corner is genuinely spine-chilling! However, we believe there are toy collectors who absolutely love this kind of thrill!
