From the popular die-cast toy series "METAL BUILD", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today officially announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 STARGAZER", the "METAL BUILD Strike Noir Gundam (ALTERNATIVE STRIKE Ver.)", scheduled for release on November 15, 2022. This product is a commemorative item for the opening of Bandai's official exhibition event, TAMASHII NATION 2022, and is planned for a lottery sale on PREMIUM BANDAI at a later date.
The GAT-X105E＋AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir Gundam is a mobile suit born from combining the enhanced model "Strike Gundam E", which was reproduced and improved from the Strike Gundam during the "Actaeon Project", with the new "Noir Striker Pack" developed from the I.W.S.P. pack. Its VPS armor appears black due to its voltage settings, hence its name "Noir" (French for black). This unit not only features significant improvements in its operating system but also boasts high maneuverability in aerial combat, reminiscent of the Freedom Gundam, thanks to the variable-wing firing capabilities of the Noir Striker Pack. It employs a flexible combat style, utilizing weapons such as two short beam rifles and Luciferus Beam Sabers.
The "METAL BUILD Strike Noir Gundam (ALTERNATIVE STRIKE Ver.)" is based on the frame of previously released Strike Gundam models, incorporating newly sculpted parts in numerous areas across the body, including the head, shoulder armor, skirt armor, and legs, to faithfully reproduce the characteristics of the Strike Gundam E type. Furthermore, it features a completely newly designed "Noir Striker Pack" on its back. The unit stands approximately 18 cm tall and is constructed with an ABS, PVC, and die-cast alloy frame. It boasts a sharp and refined design that transcends the original aesthetic, offering a solid yet flexible range of motion through its alloy joints, providing a substantial feel during play. The gray-black and metallic color scheme conveys a sense of heft and quality, complemented by an abundance of body markings for even higher-density, realistic detailing.
The "Noir Striker Pack" mounted on the back not only features a sharp and cool design with multi-directional rotating mechanisms but also allows for the reproduction of various armaments through its deployment and separation features. The two "Luciferus Beam Sabers" hidden within the wings can have their blades detached and equipped with beam effect parts to recreate a dual-wielding stance. Similarly, the "Twin Linear Cannon" also concealed within the wings can not only be rotated forward but its barrel also possesses an extendable and deployable mechanism, reminiscent of the Freedom Gundam, to reproduce its original firing mode.
The Strike Gundam E main body is equipped with a rich array of armaments, including one 57mm High-Energy Beam Rifle (same specifications as the Strike Gundam), two Beam Sabers, two High-Energy Beam Rifles with Grenade Launchers, and the Strike Noir Gundam's signature two Short Beam Rifles. Furthermore, dedicated parts can be used to recreate the firing state of the "Anchor Launchers" on both arms.
Additionally, this product is part of the ALTERNATIVE STRIKE series, allowing for customization by swapping with the wide variety of Striker Packs and Astray Gundam backpack products from the METAL BUILD ALTERNATIVE STRIKE series, using common standard connection parts.
