LEGO recently announced its latest product from Harry Potter, the "76405 Hogwarts Express – Collectors' Edition"! It is scheduled for release on August 31, 2022.
Similar to the previously released 76391, the "76405 Hogwarts Express," also bearing the "Collectors' Edition" name, boasts 5129 pieces. The set includes a 1/32 scale express train, tracks, King's Cross Station's Platform 9¾, and a generous 20 minifigures. The train itself is composed of a locomotive, a coal tender, and passenger carriages. The interior of the carriages can be used with the minifigures to recreate classic movie scenes, such as the unforgettable first encounter between Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the first film. The combined length of the train and tracks is also astonishing, reaching a total of 118 cm – truly a premium space-taker!
The platform building, constructed with sand-colored and light brown bricks, is also excellent. While providing a display platform for minifigures, it also achieves a beautiful aesthetic and a visually extending effect to the left and right. Coupled with the information plaque at the front, it creates a more thematic display! Playability features also include an interlocking mechanism design that allows the train to simulate its appearance while actually running. It's worth noting that this set also includes multiple printed bricks with lines from the film on both the platform and inside the carriages, allowing you to relive the movie's plot while playing.
