Japanese renowned illustrator K-SUWABE, with over 500,000 Twitter followers and a history of illustrating characters for several mobile games, recently announced that his original illustration series "Mecha Animals Weapons & Animals" will be commercialized as gashapon toys. Detailed product information will be released at a later date.
"Mecha Animals Weapons & Animals" is an illustration series that K-SUWABE began publishing sequentially starting July 29th of this year. He depicts cute animals standing bipedally and equipped with various heavy-firepower weapons. This striking contrast quickly garnered attention, receiving nearly 50,000 likes and close to 10,000 retweets. After K-SUWABE tweeted on August 5th about wanting to create models based on this concept, manufacturers immediately approached him, and commercialization was announced on August 10th.
Currently, "Mecha Animals Weapons & Animals" features 5 types of animals: Gatling Gun Bear, Nail Gun Cat, Drill Wolf, Chainsaw Mouse, and Shark Tank. The designs are quite refined, with weapons specifically enlarged, allowing for both the inherent cuteness of the animals and the cool aesthetics of the weapons to be appreciated. The Gatling Gun Bear, in particular, has a pair of goofy eyes that differ from the other animals, making its three-dimensional form highly anticipated!
