The popular gashapon product series 'EXCEED MODEL SD', launched by Japan's Bandai Toy Company's gashapon brand GASHAPON, released its latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam', the "EXCEED MODEL SD-MS02", in the second week of August 2022, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule.
The 'EXCEED MODEL' series features a design where "the quality is higher than typical gashapon products, and the capsule itself is part of the model." This new sub-series, 'EXCEED MODEL SD', not only transforms the Mobile Suits from 'Mobile Suit Gundam' into SD super-deformed proportions but also boasts an incredibly cute, chubby body and short limbs that prevent them from standing up on their own if they fall, making for a very endearing design!
The "EXCEED MODEL SD-MS02" is a modification based on the previous Zaku II design, featuring legs with added thrusters to release the performance-enhanced High Mobility Zaku II. The lineup includes four units: High Mobility Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars), High Mobility Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars Commander Type), High Mobility Zaku II (Shin Matsunaga's Custom), and High Mobility Zaku II (Johnny Ridden's Custom), each reproduced with their unique personal color schemes using molded plastic.
