Bandai Namco Toys' GASHAPON division, known for its "CAPCHARA" series which combines gashapon capsules with toys, is set to release the latest fifth wave, "CAPCHARA The Battle Cats 5" eco-gashapon. This follows the highly popular mobile game "The Battle Cats" themed third wave and fourth wave products. There will be 4 types in total, with a reference price of 300 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in August 2022.
The mobile game "The Battle Cats," published by Japan's PONOS Corporation (referred to by players as "P-sha"), features various humorous and quirky cats as protagonists in an easy-to-play side-scrolling tower defense game. It has previously launched numerous collaboration events with anime and video games, such as "Street Fighter V," "Neon Genesis Evangelion," and "Ranma ½," among others, and has also released a Nintendo Switch version, enjoying considerable popularity.
The fifth wave of "CAPCHARA The Battle Cats 5" gashapon, incorporating an eco-friendly design that integrates the capsule shell, presents the game's adorable characters in sizes ranging from approximately 6 to 10 cm. The lineup for this fifth wave includes four types: the Super Ancient Hero Kasa Jizo, Manic Cat, Otaku Cat, and Clockwork Cat. Each capsule comes with simple assembly parts, and once assembled, the gashapon transforms into a charming cat character!
