World-renowned film and television special effects company "WETA Workshop" recently unveiled a new miniature statue from "The Lord of the Rings": "Gollum And Sméagol In Ithilien"! It is currently available for pre-order as a limited-time, made-to-order production on the official WETA website, with an estimated shipping date in Q2 2023.
This "Gollum And Sméagol In Ithilien" miniature statue, sculpted in a delicate 3.5-inch (approximately 8.8 cm) size, is crafted from Polystone. It meticulously recreates the ruined walls and woodland scenery of "Ithilien" within Gondor, along with "Gollum," the guide resting there, leading Frodo and Sam. His sparse hair, emaciated body, and tattered trousers are faithfully reproduced, and his overall grimy state is realistically depicted. A major highlight of this miniature statue is the simultaneous inclusion of both "Sméagol" and "Gollum" personalities – one appearing harmless, the other displaying a fiercely malevolent demeanor!
In addition to being displayed back-to-back, Sméagol and Gollum can also be showcased using Sméagol's wall-mountable design. With the magnetic function on the base, Gollum can be attached below, creating a visual effect reminiscent of a reflection in water, just like in the film!
▼ WETA Workshop has also simultaneously released a standalone version of the "GOLLUM™, GUIDE TO MORDOR" statue this time.
