Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) toy company officially announced today (23rd) the latest addition to its "ARTFX J" series of "Jujutsu Kaisen" themed products: the "Panda" (パンダ) 1/8 scale PVC pre-painted complete figure is now available for pre-order! It is scheduled for release in March 2023.
"Panda," a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, is an abnormal Cursed Corpse with self-awareness and personality, and also the magnum opus of Principal Masamichi Yaga. He possesses a unique fighting style and body structure with three Cursed Corpse cores, "One Body, Three Souls," allowing him to transform into a ferocious half-gorilla-like monster and unleash the undefendable technique "Gekishin Palm." In addition to his soft and fluffy appearance, Panda-senpai also has the adorable "I ❤ Panda" arm patch, and he is a senior who genuinely cares for his juniors.
This ARTFX J series rendition of "Panda" stands approximately 19 cm tall, showcasing a dynamic pose as if a superhero bursting from the ground, charging into battle with a calm, unwavering smile! The fur texture on his body surface is intricately sculpted, and his substantial physique, along with the sharp claws on his left hand and both feet, are faithfully recreated. He also wears blue gloves adorned with cute panda head prints. The base features an irregular design, consistent with the style of "Toge Inumaki" and "Maki Zen'in." Furthermore, purchases made through the Kotobukiya official store will include a "Baby Panda (子パンダ)" bonus, which is incredibly adorable!
