Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, from the alloy and ABS finished product series "GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE" supervised by popular mechanical designer Katoki Hajime, following RX-78-02 Gundam and Doan's Zaku, prototypes of the latest works from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island", "GM (Sleggar's Unit)" and "Char's High Mobility Zaku II", were recently displayed, with release dates yet to be determined.
"G.F.F.M.C. Char's High Mobility Zaku II" is modified from the "Black Tri-Stars' High Mobility Zaku II" previously released from "Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN", with the horned head inherited from Char's Zaku II. The entire unit's paint scheme has been replaced with the "Red Comet" colors and new body markings, while the chest features new parts to recreate the machine guns on both upper sides.
"G.F.F.M.C. GM (Sleggar's Unit)" is scheduled for exclusive sale at Tamashii Web Shop. Its design is fundamentally modified from the RX-78-02 Gundam, with new parts recreating various areas such as the head, chest armor, skirt armor, and shield, and features a new gray-toned paint application along with characteristic body markings. In addition to the main unit, the product is also expected to include accessories such as a "battle-damaged Gundam shield" (cut in half) and "Doan's Zaku's rock & axe", which can be used in conjunction with the two separately sold units.
