Japanese high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio's "Museum Masterline (ミュージアムマスターライン)" product series recently announced a 1/3 scale full body statue of the "Batman Beyond" (バットマン・ビヨンド) concept design by Irish comic artist Will Sliney, from DC Comics, as a Bonus Version! Estimated shipping is November 2023 to February 2024.
The true identity of "Batman Beyond" is a teenager named "Terry McGinnis". At that time, "Bruce" was old and suffering from heart disease, no longer able to fight crime as Batman. The two met when Terry, fleeing from the gang "Jokerz", sought refuge in Wayne Manor. In later stories, Bruce acknowledged Terry and allowed him to inherit the Batsuit. Terry's Batman Beyond suit is a high-tech, all-black Batsuit adorned with a striking red bat symbol on the chest. Their collaboration primarily involves Terry on the front lines, with Bruce mainly serving in a logistical support role.
This piece stands approximately 72 cm tall, capturing "Batman Beyond" in a dynamic pose as he leaps from the Batmobile. The entire suit, based on Will Sliney's design, is covered with extensive armor plating. The outstretched wings, belt, chest, and abdomen areas are all meticulously sculpted, enhancing the sense of depth and greatly adding to the high-tech aesthetic. The base, designed to resemble the Batmobile's cockpit, is also exquisitely rendered and features smoke effect parts. Accessories include two interchangeable head sculpts, plus an additional head sculpt exclusive to the bonus version.
