Japanese gashapon toy manufacturer "State of the Art" (SO-TA / SO-TA Co., Ltd.), known for its series of gashapon toys that realistically reproduce creatures in 1/1 scale, is set to release a new product following works such as the Hercules Beetle and Dung Beetle: the "Animalie Collection 1/1 Goliath Beetle" gashapon! There are four types in total, with a reference price of 500 JPY per capsule, scheduled for release in late December 2022.
The "Animalie Collection 1/1 Goliath Beetle" gashapon is supervised by Keiki Fukui, Japan's foremost expert in specimen creation and collection. Produced in realistic scale, it meticulously recreates the unique prothorax, elytra, and intricate patterns characteristic of the Goliathus genus through parts assembly, boasting an impressive size of 14 cm! The collection includes four distinct types: Goliathus goliatus, Goliathus albosignatus, Goliathus regius, and Goliathus orientalis. The painting faithfully reproduces their complex and delicate markings, and biological details such as the abdomen are also rendered with remarkable realism!
